Based on the children's book of the same name, a young boy refuses to denounce his belief in Santa Claus despite what the rest of his family says, and his faith is rewarded when a train called the Polar Express pulls up in front of his house on Christmas Eve. The conductor (Tom Hanks) informs the boy he's going to take him and some other children to the North Pole to meet the big guy in red.
