Obviously based on the real life event of the mid-1830s, The Alamo will tell the story of the last stand in San Antonio, in which a relatively small group of men (300 or so) tried to hold the line against an overwhelming Mexican army. Supposedly this remake will be much closer to history than the John Wayne version.
